Bob Bryant Park in Bastrop, Texas - How To Enjoy It Year-round
Bob Bryant Park in Bastrop, Texas, is located near the community of Belem at the far west end of Texas highway number 34. This park is one of the many designated by the state of Texas as a protected natural site. This park is located on private land, so all the amenities are limited - picnic tables, running streams, hiking trails, swimming pools, and tennis courts are some of the few features this park offers to visitors. It's open year-round to visitors who want to get away from it all and enjoy the scenery. The park is managed by Bob and Linda Bryant, who owned it since it opened in 1971.

Most of the park's activities are guided by Bob and Linda, but occasionally the park staff may direct visitors where to go. For example, if a visitor has directions to the restroom before arriving at Bob's Park, they'll usually find it close enough to access it without having to hike too far. In addition to enjoying the park's features, visitors can also take a boat tour down the Texas coast and through the many islands that make Texas so unique. This tour is available year-round at the Bob Bryant Texas Houseboat Tours of Texas, which departs from the marina in Bastrop daily.

There are also a couple of other boat ramps at Bob's Park in Bastrop. These are not used frequently but rather serve as a maintenance area for the boat ramp that stays closed during the summer months. Access to these boat ramps is usually restricted to park patrons who pay a small fee and meet certain requirements. These boat ramps are made of concrete and are surrounded by a six-foot-high fence. The gate at Bob's Park is always open, so there's no reason why visitors can't come in and use the restroom at any time they choose. All the other park facilities and amenities remain regularly used by residents and out-of-town visitors.
